Jerry Timian

Program Officer

Jerry Timian
“I work at Minnesota Philanthropy Partners because of its commitment to the community, and to the families and children in our community who do not have the opportunity to reach their full potential without some assistance.”

As a program officer, Jerry works directly with the community’s most effective nonprofit organizations and social service agencies. He collaborates with these groups to develop and finance programs that address community needs for housing, education and adult literacy.

Jerry joined Minnesota Philanthropy Partners in 2000. He has prior experience with prominent Twin Cities nonprofits including Greater Twin Cities United Way and Children’s Home Society & Family Services. Additionally, he served on the Saint Louis Park School Board and the Saint Louis Park Planning Commission. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in anthropology.

When Jerry is not helping children and families, he often takes to the water. He loves sailing and canoeing.

Jerry's grantmaking areas:

  • E-16 education
  • Adult literacy
  • Youth development
