Executive Director of the Minneapolis Saint Paul Regional Workforce Innovation Network (MSPWIN)
"I work for MSPWIN because of its ability to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and Minnesota’s workforce."
Bryan Lindsley is executive director of the new MSPWIN collaborative of local and national foundations that are ensuring that the Twin Cities region develops the skilled and diverse workforce needed for continued economic competitiveness. Bryan leads MSPWIN’s efforts to eliminate racial employment disparities and create career pathways for low-skill, low-income adults to access family-sustaining jobs. He enjoys empowering communities to tackle difficult social problems with a vision, strategy and tangible results.
Bryan comes to MSPWIN after four years as the executive director of the Governor’s Workforce Development Council. Prior to that he was a policy analyst, employment counselor and research consultant. He has studied race, apartheid and nation-building in southern Africa, and the economics of fair trade coffee in Guatemala.
He has a bachelor’s degree in social justice from St. Olaf College and a master’s of public policy with a concentration in community and economic development from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He is an alumnus of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute.
Bryan lives in Saint Paul with his wife and two children. In his spare time he coaches T-ball and soccer and reads about history and social movements, such as the America in the King Years trilogy by Taylor Branch. He canoes in the Quetico Provincial Park and travels abroad whenever he can.
